Required 2 proofs of Residence beginning 2025-2026 School Year letter

As we prepare for the 2025-2026 school year, we want to remind you of the following:

Proofs of Residence

Beginning with the 25-26 school year, MCPSS requires all students to show new proofs of residence, within 60 days from the start of school. These proofs are now required every year.

TWO CURRENT (dated within 60 days of the start of school) PROOFS OF RESIDENCE ARE REQUIRED: One proof that reflects your physical address and one proof from a utility company or one of the options from List 2, which can be found on our website. Required: One (1) proof that reflects physical residence. Property Tax Records or Deeds

• Tax receipt record

• homeowners' insurance policy

• mortgage statement

Apartment or House Lease

• Apartment or house rent receipt / Apartment or house lease

• renters' insurance policy, or housing agreement

• All dollar amounts are to be concealed

IF you are unable to provide current proofs of residence in your name, you will need to complete an AFFIDAVIT OF RESIDENCE, which is located on our website at www.mcpss.com under the ENROLL tab at the top of the page. There are instructions on what you will need to provide to establish your school zone.
